Laptops: price, performance and scores
Each dot is a configuration (range, processor, memory): the further left, the cheaper; the higher, the better scored. Hover over or tap a dot for details, or add it to the comparison.
Ranked by the chosen score, built from public measurements. Shops covered: Amazon. Others may be cheaper. Affiliate links: any commission does not change the order. How we rank
All tracked models
≈: score partly based on a Picksly estimate (no public measurement for one criterion).
How these scores are calculated
Every score runs from 0 to 100. It is worked out with the same rule since 2026-09, for every model in the category: if we change that rule, we say so and we date it — it never drifts in silence.
Processor and graphics: PassMark score (CPU Mark and G3D Mark) of the chip and card named in the listing, as published. For some AMD and Intel Core Ultra processors with no dedicated card, the graphics score is that of the chip itself (the PassMark line for that chip, or the graphics name read on Wikipedia or on the Intel page), and only if the Amazon page says “integrated” without contradicting itself. A listing that names no recognised chip is not scored. Memory: RAM capacity stated in the merchant listing. Picksly estimate: when no card is measured, a laptop with a low-power chip (U, P, V, Celeron…) outside gaming ranges gets 0 for graphics, because every integrated GPU sits below the bottom of the scale; checked against every laptop already measured, with no error.
Battery life and weight are not measured yet: they enter no score until an attributed source exists. The overall score only appears when we have measured at least half of what matters for this category.
Price: best price found among the merchants Picksly can link to, new or refurbished as you choose, dated. It counts in the Budget and Smart scores. Picksly may earn a commission through affiliate links; what this influences is explained on the Transparency page.
How Picksly picks for your profile in a comparison: Budget — among products under $700, new or refurbished, the best Budget score (without a score, the cheapest). Smart — among new products whose Smart score is at least 50, the best; value for money counts in that score. Premium — among new products released within the last 24 months whose Premium score is at least 60, the best. On equal scores, the cheaper one wins. If nothing fits, we say so instead of making up a winner.
